Vasileios Sougioultzis – Biography
Since the age of six, I had realized my inclination to fine arts. In the years to come, my main occupation was painting and linear drawing, attending lessons at YMCA. Shortly thereafter, the first computers would appear and I would discover graphic design along with image processing. During the same period, I was honored by the Prefectures of Thessaloniki, for the first prize I won, in a competition for fine arts in Northern Greece. Things did not take long to make their way, and in 1998, I made my first digital photo edits for a wedding house, advertised in the magazine called “Wedding”. At the same time, I began to retouch photos taken by professional photographers, as the transition from analogue to digital photography had just begun. The idea of getting an image began to fascinate me, and that was the beginning. I received my first help from a close relative, an award-winning professional photographer. In the years to come, broad training in professional photography took place.
